Do you know about the feng shui of entrance door?

Methods for Improving the Feng Shui

Inconsistent opening direction inside and outside
✘ Outward door hinders public corridor (violates fire regulations). Inward door occupies entry space (requires >90cm opening radius).
Preferred solution: Outward opening meets safety standards. For limited space: choose sliding doors or Dutch doors (small door stays open; main door for emergencies). Methods for Improving the Feng Shui of the Front Door of a House

The door faces the kitchen.

Weak security protection
✘ Thin/light door body: Steel plate <1mm thickness. Lacks anti-theft reinforcement (vulnerable to force).
✘ Low-grade locks: A-level lock cylinders (<1 min tamper resistance) or inferior smart locks create security flaws.
Upgrade: Grade A security door + Grade C lock cylinder. Smart locks must feature anti-EMI and dummy PIN code functions.

Poor sound/thermal insulation
✘ Door frame-wall gap >5mm + missing seal → air/water leaks & weak soundproofing.
Fix: Fill gaps with foam + elastic seals. Install automatic drop-down seal at door bottom.

At the entrance, install a foyer, partitions, or screens to alter the direction of the airflow when entering.

Among the several methods, this one is relatively more effective!

  1. Place broad-leaved plants, wine cabinets, etc. between the entrance and the bedroom.

You can place a semi-transparent fully open storage rack or a wine cabinet about 2 meters high right in front of the door, about 2 meters away from the door.

  1. Hang a curtain between the entrance door and the bedroom.

This method comes at the cost of sacrificing the overall aesthetic effect! The curtain hanging there really doesn’t look very nice! But it is the perfect solution.
